Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information CLINKHAUS (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit clinkhaus.com or shop with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. CLINKHAUS is a small shop run by two people, one in Japan and one in China, selling glassware to customers in the United States.

Information we collect

• Orders: your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, the items you buy and your order history.
• Payments: payments are processed by PayPal. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as your name and email, but we never see or store your full card or bank details.
• Messages: when you contact us, your name, email address, subject, message and order number if you include one.
• Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and cookies needed for your cart, checkout and login to work.

How we use it

• To process, ship and track your order, and to send order and shipping emails.
• To answer your questions and handle returns, refunds and breakage claims.
• To protect the store and checkout from fraud and abuse.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We do not currently send marketing emails.

Who we share it with

We share only what each service needs to do its job:

• PayPal – payment processing and fraud prevention.
• YunExpress – our shipping carrier receives your name, shipping address and phone number to deliver your order and provide tracking.
• Google – Google Analytics shows us how visitors use the site (for example, which pages and products are viewed and whether an order was completed), and Google reCAPTCHA helps protect checkout from automated abuse. Both may use cookies.
• Hostinger – our website hosting and email provider, where store data and emails are stored.
• Automattic (Jetpack) – security features that protect the site from malicious login attempts, using IP addresses.

We may also disclose information when required by law.

Cookies

We use cookies that are needed for the store to work, such as keeping items in your cart, completing checkout, and keeping you signed in. We also use Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used, so we can improve it. PayPal and Google reCAPTCHA may set their own cookies when you check out. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil the order, handle returns and claims, and meet tax and accounting requirements. Messages you send us are kept while we handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or ask a question about this policy, by emailing hello@clinkhaus.com. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you. If you live in California or another US state with privacy laws, you have these rights too, and we will not treat you differently for using them.

International processing

Because we operate from Japan and China and use service providers in the United States and elsewhere, your information may be processed outside your state or country. We only share it as described in this policy.

Children

Our store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
